Make the first go easy
A simple way to get started
Start with familiar food your dog can reach easily. Add difficulty once they know how the toy works.
Add a little familiar food
Try loosely packed kibble or suitable wet dog food, leaving some easy to reach.
Stay close while they explore
Let them lick, roll and investigate it. Stop if the toy becomes damaged.
Wash, then fill again
Clean after food use. Once they know how it works, try freezing a suitable filling.
Is Medium the right fit?

The widest part must be larger than the back of your dog’s mouth. Choose by mouth fit and chewing style as well as weight. Size up if unsure.
Extreme black natural rubber is designed for power chewers. Very determined chewers may need to move up one or two sizes.

What is included?
One black KONG Extreme Medium, made from natural rubber. Food and treats are sold separately.
How do I clean it?
Hand wash with warm water and washing-up liquid, then rinse thoroughly. Use a brush to remove food from inside.
You can also use the dishwasher’s top rack. Skip the heated drying cycle.
What should I check before use?
Remove packaging, supervise every use and check for damage. Stop using a damaged toy. Choose fillings suitable for your dog’s diet; peanut butter must contain no xylitol.
What about strong chewing?
No toy is indestructible. Extreme is KONG’s most durable rubber formula; a determined chewer may still need a larger size.
