A proper home from home for your dog.
We're licensed and insured, and once your dog arrives, we help them settle in and become part of everyday life in our home. We follow the care notes you give us and keep things as familiar as possible, with cosy places to rest, regular walks and plenty of company.
Unlike a kennel, your dog gets 24/7 care and all the comforts of home. We're here with them overnight, so they are not left unattended, and they sleep in our home rather than in a kennel cage.

Buttermere Boarding is the most amazing place and the ONLY place I will use for our chocolate Labrador Ralph.

Well Bobby had a fantastic time during his trail night with Buttermere Boarding . As you all know I’m very attached to my boy and was so worried but Shannon and Ryan were amazing . Kept me updated with pics and videos . Bobby is an anxious boy but he settled so fast and seemed to love his time with them . So relieved he was ok and now I can relax a little on holiday . Could not recommend Shannon and Ryan enough, so welcoming and accommodating especially for our over excited Blue. He has just done his first over night stay and he settled in so quickly. We were kept reassured with pictures and videos of Blue out on a walk and playing. Definitely will be using them in the future. Thank you guys!!

Great boarder, good communication and the all important photo updates. Tyson although initially worried soon settled after a good walk out. Love that this boarder is licensed, giving extra peace of mind. Tyson was happy and relaxed upon collection and will definitely book again.

Im so glad we found Shannon and Ryan. Meg has just come back from her 1st ever overnight stay as a meet and greet . Meg was so happy and comfortable and took to both Ryan and Shannon straight away . Ryan & Shannon, from the first time I meet you both on a meet and greet I could tell you were the perfect couple to look after our for baby Louie. I've just collected Louie and hes had the most chilled out 7nights with you both ,I've had regular pictures,one where Louie had to sit in the middle of you both❤️😂.we will most certainly be letting Louie come and stay again 😉 thank you both so much for all your care and attention you have given him.so we could have a lovely holiday without worrying 👍😊

Our Loki has just spent the weekend with Ryan and Shannon, a lovely couple that took really good care of our fur baby. It's the first time he's been to a boarders and they both made us feel at ease leaving him. Excellent, friendly service and they treated him like their own. Would definitely recommend and use again 😁

Toby is normally pretty nervous when he meets new people, and is a high energy dog that some boarders can't deal with properly. Fortunately, Toby loved going into Ryan's from the first visit, and Ryan was fantastic dealing with Toby's energy levels. Cannot recommend high enough.
